  8. BY MOVING EUROPEAN HEADQUARTERS TO THE 
  9. NETHERLANDS

  11. Move Made To Improve Response Time And Lower Costs 
  12. Associated With European Distribution

  14. (TUCSON, AZ -- July 20, 1992) -- Artisoft, Inc., the American-
  15. based manufacturer of the award-winning LANtastic(R) Local 
  16. Area Network, announced today that, in order to improve its 
  17. response time and lower costs associated with European 
  18. distribution, it has centralized its European operations by moving 
  19. its European headquarters to The Netherlands. The new European 
  20. headquarters will be responsible for sales, marketing, fulfillment 
  21. operations, technical support and training with respect to Artisoft 
  22. products in the European market.

  24. Artisoft develops and manufactures a full line of hardware and 
  25. software for local area networks including the LANtastic Local 
  26. Area Network. The LANtastic network is recognized as the 
  27. leading DOS-based peer-to-peer network and has won numerous 
  28. industry awards for its cost-effective features, performance, and 
  29. ease of use. It allows up to 300 users of IBM(R)-compatible 
  30. computers to connect and share information and peripheral devices 
  31. such as printers, hard drives and CD-ROMs. The LANtastic 
  32. network and Artisoft's other connectivity products are distributed 
  33. in over 70 countries worldwide.

  35. The new Artisoft European headquarters will be headed by Robert 
  36. "Mac" McKinley, who has been promoted to Director of European 
  37. Sales & Marketing. McKinley, who joined Artisoft in March 1991, 
  38. was recently promoted to Director of North American Sales in 
  39. March of this year. Prior to joining Artisoft, he was employed by 
  40. CompuAdd Corporation in Austin, Texas and Computer 
  41. Associates in San Jose, California.

  44. industry, we believe Mac McKinley will prove to be an excellent 
  45. leader in expanding our European operations to meet the potential 
  46. of this market," stated Dave Hallmen, Artisoft's Vice President of

  49. Artisoft's new European headquarters in The Netherlands is 
  50. scheduled to open this quarter. Artisoft's previous European 
  51. headquarters was located in the United Kingdom. McKinley will 
  52. take over the duties assigned to Artisoft's former Vice President of 
  53. Sales & Marketing-European, Wilfred L. Butt, who is no longer 
  54. with the company. Artisoft U.K. will remain as a sales, marketing 
  55. and technical support office for the U.K.
